True love can’t be strategized.
After book blogger Vivian Galdi’s longtime crush pretends their secret summer kissing sessions never happened, Vivian creates a list of safe crushes, determined to protect her heart.
But nerd-hot Dallas, the sweet new guy in town, sends the mission and Vivian’s zing meter into chaos. While designing software for the bookstore where Vivian works, Dallas wages a counter-mission.
Operation Replacement Crush is in full effect. And Dallas is determined to take her heart off the shelf.

This book is definitely one of those at the top of my best of 2016. It was adorable, fun, and all kinds of nerdy.

Do you like Star Trek? Hot nerds? Adorkable gals? Then you need this book in your life!

I loved the plot of this book. The best way to get over someone is to find someone new. It’s a little bit harder when you’re trying to find someone you don’t have major chemistry with. Even harder when you find someone that you have crazy chemistry with, but don’t want to get attached to that person.

The headings on each chapter were quotes from Spock and Captain Kirk and each pertained to what was going on in the chapter. My inner Trekkie was squeeing with delight. Vivian may also have internal conversions with Spock that are hilarious.

As for the characters, I love them all. Vivian is bookish and funny with her reactions. Dallas is witty and makes Vivian uncomfortable with how much of her he actually sees. Vivian’s friends are a hot mess, but absolutely lovable.

This book is a fun read, and perfect for kicking off the school year. I can’t wait for Wee One to get a little bit older so she can read this one.
