Bloggiesta Starting Line

Posted March 22, 2013 by Katrina @ Bookish Things in Challenge / 24 Comments

Last year I didn’t get to participate in Bloggiesta because I was out of town.  This year I’m stoked to be home to be able to do it.

Here’s my list of things I hope to accomplish over the weekend:

Work on my meme posts (Top Ten Tuesday, Desperately Wanting Wednesday)
Get started on our new series that will take place on Sundays
Go through my blogs and weed out those that haven’t posted in a while.
Get my tons of reviews posted and scheduled
Work on getting my reviews cross-posted to Amazon & Goodreads.

Hope everyone else gets lots of things accomplished this weekend!

  1. Good luck! I need to work on reviews desperately, but that’s every day. Sometimes I think Bloggiesta is my excuse to fiddle around with all the other stuff because it’s easier than writing reviews!

    • Oh I know. I just now finished a post for tomorrow. I’ve got posts that need to be done, but I’d rather work on other things. Especially when I can’t find the right words.

    • I’ve got probably 8 reviews I need to get written and scheduled. I need to write them as soon as I finish. It’s just hard from moving on to the next awesome book. 😛 And thanks. Jude over at In Between did my blog design. 😀

    • Oh I know. It’s hard to get rid of them on the google reader, but it’s not so hard on bloglovin’ or feedly. I’m kind of glad I started the switch before it goes away.

    • Yes. I have release dates written down so I know when to publish them. It’s a lot easier then searching the night before. I want to get them published through the beginning of May. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to try to get them up in a timely manner, otherwise I’d forget.

  2. I’m supposed to be working on my reviews this weekend, but I know I’ll leave that until the bitter end because I’m a huge procrastinator, haha! Great list, and good luck completing all your goals!

    P.S – I’m a new Networked Blogs follower. 🙂

  3. Great list! I have been bad about cross-posting to amazon lately, but have managed to keep up with Goodreads. I also recently updated my bloglist when I did some blog maintenance several weeks ago (apparently I had my own private Bloggiesta, lol). I’m following you here and over the various social networks now — somehow I was following you on Instagram and nowhere else, but I fixed that! Grabbed your button, too 🙂

Here is my Bloggiesta To-Do List.

  4. Hope things went well this weekend with your list of things to do! Perhaps I’m anal, but I have a system on my Google Reader (now Feedly) feed – I categorize by month of the last time I had contact with a person. So if you commented on me (or I on you) in March, I’d move you to the March folder. And if you made it to three months away and no contact, byebye! 🙂 Works for me. But I guess it may seem like too much work to others.

    • You are an organizational goddess. 😛 I need to implement something like that with my feeder. Maybe I’ll find a day where the kiddos can be at grammy’s and I’ll actually get things done. 😛
