By NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY bestselling Author, Shelly Crane.
Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who's had a bad year. Her mom left, her dad is depressed, she's graduating, barely, and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.
Then she meets Caleb.
She saves his life and instantly knows there's something about him that's intriguing but she is supposed to be on her way to a date with his cousin. But things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally. They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she's ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive. Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb's enemies know he's imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him. Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

“Late to the Party”

So, I’ve only been a part of this blog for almost a year now, but I have books I want to read that have already been out a good while, and also have AMAZING books I read in high school that need to be shared and reviewed. That’s what these “Late to the Party” reviews will be about! Me being late to the bookish party. Please give me any feedback and recommendations of your favorite books for me to do “Late to the Party” reviews on.

I’m a paranormal YA/adult lover, and this whole series is a PERFECT fit for this obsession of mine. The Significance series is one of my absolute favorites of all time. I’ve found I love every Shelly Crane book I’ve ever read. She just rocks.

Book 1 in the Significance series is really unique and such an interesting story line. It’s got “instant love,” which many people, including me, don’t like. HOWEVER, it’s not your run-of-the-mill instant love. I’ve always loved the idea of imprinting, and that’s basically what we’ve got going on here.

Caleb and Maggie imprint and have to deal with the repercussions of this event; none of the Ace clans have been imprinting lately, and now foes are out to destroy their relationship. Maggie is dealing with daddy issues and the fact that her mom left them, but now she’s got Caleb.

Throughout this book, you get more and more sucked into this amazingly close, GIANT family of Caleb’s and swoon over him.

If you’re looking for paranormal YA that’s out of the norm of vampires, werewolves, witches, etc., then you’re in for a real treat! Shelly Crane really knows how to earn those 5 stars. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read any of Shelly’s work and I’d be glad to get some recommendations, as well. Happy reading!
