Nothing can stop Raine Cooper when she wants something...Raine finally knows that her gorgeous neighbor, Torin St. James, is a legend straight out of Norse mythology, and that her feelings for him are strong. Torin is crazy about Raine too, breaking the one rule he lives by: Never fall for a mortal. The problem is he no longer remembers her, his memories erased by Norns—Norse destiny deities—to punish her for defying them.
So Raine comes up with a plan...She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again. But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves

Review

This book was a roller coaster of emotions for me.

I love Torin; he’s a heartthrob. I used to love Eirik, but now he’s gone nuts. The sketchy Norns have made Torin forget Raine, when they were previously in love, despite him never wanting to date a Mortal. Intense, right?

This book was definitely just as good as the first one, and I’m truly surprised and amazed by that, since I find paranormal YA series usually start to drag.

Just as with Runes, I loved learning about runes and Norse mythology some in this, and the fresh breath this series gives in the paranormal YA scene.

Raine really grows in this continuation and is such a good friend. There is scary evil in this, also, and I tried throughout the entire book to figure out who/what it was going to be-and, let me tell you-I was SO surprised! Ednah Walters weaved this plot beautifully and I’m looking forward to continuing this series and the spin-off series as well. Happy reading and let me know what you thought!
