*A standalone based off the main series, the Promiscus Guardians*
Eve's entire existence and the secret power she harbors is forever changed when she meets the incredibly gorgeous Russian, Pavel Volkov, one night after he single-handedly saves her from being attacked. Claiming he's part of an elite group of Guardians that police the Light and Dark, Pavel takes her into his protection.
The playboy warlock-faerie helps Eve unlock the secrets of her past, training the hidden power within as they attempt to keep her from the Dark that seeks to capture her. But with nothing short of disdain for the man claiming to be her protector, can Eve discover the truth behind who she really is? Will she be able to learn how to use her powers efficiently? And more importantly, will she be able to deflect the relentless advances of her so-called protector?

Review

Ho-ly crap.

I loved, loved, loved this book! I’ve read the Promiscus Guardians books by Brianna West and I read Victor (Guardians in Love book #1), but THIS ONE takes the cake. Pavel is the biggest swooner in the whole series, though I  love all the guys in the books.

In the Promiscus Guardians, Pavel is a pervy, flirty warlock-faerie hottie but you can tell there’s some underlying loneliness when he starts harboring feelings for a character in the Promiscus Guardians (if you haven’t read them yet, I won’t spoil it for you, but GO READ THEM 😉 ) but here comes Eve, a girl who’s had these weird powers her whole life and she stumbles into this amazing world of Guardians and witches and all kinds of cool beings.

Eve is a really likable character, because while she’s sassy, she’s also very strong and self-assured and brave and selfless; the list could go on for days. She’s a perfect match for Pavel, who is her trainer/Guardian for the time being, but like I said, Pavel is pervy and has a player vibe and most girls who haven’t really dated veer away from that. BUT ITS PAVEL, EVE! I wanted to scream at her many times reading this because he’s such a freaking heartthrob but she was too afraid to let anyone in, romantically. I ship Eve and Pavel HARD. They are the perfect ideal power couple, and if you take some time to check this book out, you’ll see what I’m saying.

While Brianna’s books are fast-paced, they still latch onto your heart for dear life. They’re super fun books and some of my personal favorites. Check this one out and tell me what you think! Happy reading. 🙂
