I’m super excited to be a part of this hop hosted by Fic Fare & Swoony Boys. It’s our chance to talk about some of our favorite book boyfriends. Each stop has a different topic. There will be a hop-wide giveaway that will include a bonus entry to enter a quote at the end of each week. Each stop will have hidden words to make a well known swoony quote. There will also be an individual giveaway.
My hidden words are:
than you believe
Fictional Boy That Caught Me Off Guard
Okay, there are a few fictional boys that caught me off guard. These definitely aren’t in any particular order!
Morpheus (The Splintered Trilogy)
He is one big ball of contradictions. He loves but he doesn’t know how to show it without tricks and games. He struggles with trying to be worthy in Alyssas’ eyes. He’s awful at times, but I freaking love him.
The Darkling (The Grisha Trilogy)
Yes, I know I’m supposed to be all “No, the Darkling is evil!” But I can’t. He does some pretty atrocious things, and is crazy as hell at times, but I understand part of him. There’s a part that just wants to be loved.
Jackal (The Blood of Eden Trilogy)
Oh Jackal, I thought I was going to hate you. He’s the perfect narcissistic asshole. But I love him all the same. He puts on a big front, but he does have feelings buried somewhere under all his hatefulness.
As you can see, I definitely have a thing for the bad boys, but these are the really bad boys, and it’s so hard to turn them away.

OMG! Morpheous, is a definite YES in the swooning and catching you off guard department. I absolutely love this mysterious maddening character to pieces. And, I totally need to finish reading Shadow and Bone and read the other trilogy you were talking about. 🙂

So my choices are not guys that surprised me in your sense, but I was surprised by how hard I fell for them and how often I think about them now. My guys are Maxon from The Selection, Adrian from VA/Bloodlines, and my fresh-on-my-mind pick, Bishop from The Book of Ivy. Thank you! emandm2222(at)gmail(dot)com
I did like Maxon. I need to catch up on that series. I love Adrian too! I need to read The Book of Ivy.

Adrian in Bloodlines! After the VA series, I didn’t know what to expect from him!
I’ve only read the first book in that series, and love him more than I did in VA.

I would have to say Death from The Arcana Chronicles. I was so not expecting to like him so much.
Yet another series I need to catch up on. I have a feeling I’m going to love his character.

Adam Wilde from If I Stay, Ryder from Shutter and Cole St. Clair from the Shiver Trilogy!
I still haven’t read, or watched, If I Stay. I think I may need to remedy this.
A fictional boy that caught me off guard was Dante Hill in Talon by Julie Kagawa. I never thought Ember’s brother would be so UGHHH… haha if you haven’t read the book yet, I totally recommend if you like dragons and young adult fantasy! Thank you for this amazing chance!
