Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.
The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.
In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.
I didn’t want to tell these characters goodbye, but I did. 🙁 I’ve loved these people since Jenna forced me to read Sweet Evil. lol. I’ll miss these Neph.
I honestly loved what was happening with the side characters more than I did Kai and Anna. Things with Kai and Anna progressed, but I felt like so much of it was based on pushing the limits physically. I will say that Kai did some major growing up, and I loved him all the more for it. Each character in this book is dealing with huge things. Things I could never imagine going through at their ages.
There was a lot of build up through out the book. Also, a lot of hiding. The Dukes are insanely paranoid, and they have to keep a low profile. There are a few times I cried with happiness, and sadness. Seriously, a few parts completely tore me up. I loved the ending. It was a great way to finish off this trilogy.
The Sweet Trilogy is probably one of my favorite Nephilim series out there. It’s fun, emotional, and at times serious. Everything I could possibly want in one series.
