A charming British Playboy. A girl determined to finally live. And a secret liaison revealed in all too vivid color. Book two in the NYT Bestselling series.

Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon's moved to New York City and is looking for excitement without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night's fun. But the manner--and speed--with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.

The whole city knows Max Stella loves women, not that he's ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it's not until Sara--and the wild photos she lets him take of her--that he starts wondering if there's someone for him outside of the bedroom.

Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.

Today we celebrate Beautiful Stranger.  Everyone loves a man with an accent. *drools*

Review:

I love how each of these books follows the same group of friends. I think that adds so much more depth to the relationships.  We get to hang out with Max and Sara in this installment of the Beautiful series.

Max is one of the most eligible bachelors in New York.  He’s definitely a ladies man, and usually has no problem picking up chicks.  That is until he meets this mystery girl in a club.  Sara is a nice girl coming out of a break up.  She figures with her move to New York she can just have fun.  I love the way Max and Sara interact.  Even though they both get flustered they don’t back down.  They also try new things when it comes to being intimate.

Max and Sara get caught up in a game to see where they can get it on without getting caught.  They ahve some seriously sexy times, but what I love most is that Sara really finds herself in this book.  She doesn’t just sit back and wonder.  She takes action.  This is such a different person than she was with her ex.  I also think it’s hilarious that this one girl can calm down the man everyone wants.  Like I said before the interactions are awesome.  We also get to see a little bit of Chloe’s protective side.  Sara is one of her best friends, and she doesn’t want to see her hurt.

Some of the scenes with Max and Sara made me blush, but it makes them such a strong couple.  I admire that they don’t let any kind of fear hold them back from enjoying themselves.

Interview Part 1:

Q: Was it difficult writing two headstrong characters like Chloe and Bennett?

A:  No, and in some ways those two are the easiest to write. It’s almost like letting your brain do that craziest things possible, because their relationship bends the rules of what is appropriate. Writing Chloe and Bennett for us is like taking a vacation and just having fun with words.

Q: Is it difficult researching the locations in the Beautiful series, or have y’all been to these places?

A:  We’ve been to all of those places now, but when we were writing BEAUTIFUL STRANGER, NYC was relatively unknown to us. Lauren had been there once, many years before. But this is the beauty of (1) Google maps (2) friends in NYC and (3) having an editor who literally works only a few blocks away from everything we’re writing about. The latter two really helped us get the details right.
