A bombshell bookworm. A chronic Casanova. And a lesson in chemistry too scandalous for school.
When Hanna Bergstrom receives a lecture from her overprotective brother about neglecting her social life and burying herself in grad school, she’s determined to tackle his implied assignment: get out, make friends, start dating. And who better to turn her into the sultry siren every man wants than her brother’s gorgeous best friend, Will Sumner, venture capitalist and unapologetic playboy?
Will takes risks for a living, but he’s skeptical about this challenge of Hanna’s…until the wild night his innocently seductive pupil tempts him into bed- and teaches him a thing or two about being with a woman he can’t forget. Now that Hanna’s discovered the power of her own sex appeal, it’s up to Will to prove he’s the only man she’ll ever need.
This book is all about my favorite Beautiful Man.
Will and Hanna’s story is probably my favorite. It seems to take them forever to figure anything out. But it’s not annoying, it gives both of them that feeling they had when they were in school.
Will is my favorite in this series. He’s a definite player, and doesn’t let his emotions evolve. But Bennett and Max cursed this guy when in Vegas. He can’t stop thinking about one girl, and it’s completely throwing him off. Hanna is a total workaholic. She spends all of her time in the lab, and doesn’t make herself have a social life. These two have a history. Not them personally, but Will has known the family for forever. I love how they banter back and forth. Hanna doesn’t think before she speaks, and whatever she has on her mind comes tumbling out. I like that they can be themselves around each other, and that both are kind of nerdy.
The build up between Will and Hanna is slow. They are attracted to each other, but it takes them a while to cross any borders with each other. I think that’s what I liked most about this novel. It’s apparent they want to shag each other silly, but both are kind of scared to go down that road. I also thought it was endearing that they worked up to sex. There are some seriously hot parts that happen without clothes even coming off. I think this shows how great Christina and Lauren are at writing.
Hanna and Will both become better versions of themselves, and learn a little something along the way. I definitely recommend Beautiful Player.
Interview Part 3:
Q: Which Beautiful hottie do your readers seem to favor? Which do each of you favor? (I’m a Will fan myself.)
A: It’s really hard to say. The Bennett fans are DIEHARD. Same with Max. It seems that most people really love Will, but it’s impossible for us to say which one the readers seem to love the most, and that is AWESOME.
And for us, asking us which one we love the most is impossible, but Lo would marry Bennett in a heartbeat, and Christina is a Will girl at heart. Thought we’d both bang the cocky smile off Max J
