Back when not being able to stand each other also meant not being able to keep their hands off each other in Beautiful Bastard, neither Bennett nor Chloe could have seen this day coming.
An exasperated bride who just wants to elope. A determined groom whose only focus is getting to the wedding night. And—of course—a whole lot of name calling.
The chaos of weddings are always tons of fun 😛
Finally the big day!!!! I absolutely loved seeing this come together.
Bennett and Chloe are such a perfect match for each other. They both also have some crazies in their families. Chloe just wants to elope to avoid all the drama and stress. Bennett thinks this needs to happen for her. The pranks on each other keep happening, which is freaking awesome. I love that they include their group in everything. It shows just how tight-knit they are.
It seems like disaster after disaster happens in getting this wedding to perfection. I appreciate that Bennett does everything he can to make sure that Chloe doesn’t stress out, or completely freak out, and start bitching at everyone in sight. I enjoyed seeing both Bennett and Chloe fight, and argue, over Bennett’s decision leading up to the wedding. I was laughing so freaking hard.
I thought this was a great way to show the beginning for this awesome couple!
Interview Part 4:
Since we finally got to see the Ryan wedding, I wanted to shift the focus on to their upcoming Young Adult release, Sumblime. Here’s what Christina and Lauren have to say. 😀
Q: What can you tell us about Sublime?
A: We are so excited for this book to be out in the world! This was the second Young Adult book we’d written, and one we’d written long before any of the more-adult BEAUTIFULs came into existence. In fact, the editor who acquired it (Zareen Jaffery) took it to acquisitions only about a month before BASTARD would be picked up by Adam Wilson . . . both editors are from Simon & Schuster!
Sublime is a bit of Flatliners meets Ghost. Lucy wakes on a trail near a boarding school, finds that she’s trapped there, and very soon remembers the details of how she was killed. She finds Colin, the adoraboy in the book, who is a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Because she’s ghosty, and he can’t touch her (and hello, he really really wants to), he finds a way to be physically closer to Lucy by having near death experiences. As Colin gets more and more obsessed with hypothermia as an extreme sport, Lucy has to wonder whether she’s his guardian . . . or something much darker.
Q: How different is it writing YA and Adult?
A: We like writing swoon and kissing in all of our books, so readers will always find that. But our YA tends to have a more supernatural/paranormal edge, and a slightly different voice. We’re both curious to see how readers respond to the different genre. We love this book so much.
